Last night I went to a conveyer belt sushi restaurant and this confused little robot served us drinks. It was so weird and bumbling that I posted a story to IG joking “Now THIS is the only acceptable use of AI.” I woke to a novel of a dm from a follower saying they were deeply disappointed in me for advocating that AI take our jobs. As a writer, how could I say this was “acceptable?”

I’d find it morbidly funny in a way if I wasn’t so fully exhausted. Our culture’s obsession with hyper-criticizing and playing the “gotcha” game with folks who are already fully aligned with them is bizarre.
