Here’s my latest gouache landscape, exploring the push and pull between warm and cool, orange and blue.

It’s funny how the mind drifts when painting. When everything was covered in snow, I found myself wanting to paint green, something warm and alive. Now that the snow has mostly melted, I feel pulled back to it again. Muted whites, softened edges, all that stillness, with hints of warm colors sneaking into the winter scene.
