Here is my latest 10 stroke gouache painting. Limiting it like that forces every mark to carry its weight, no room to overwork or second guess.
It’s interesting how much you start to rely on instinct when there’s no space for correction. Shapes become simpler, edges more intentional, and somehow the feeling of the landscape comes through more directly.
I’m not sure if 10 strokes is enough… or maybe it’s already too many.
