I painted this Scott Christensen master study in gouache, focusing on his color decisions. There’s something subtle in how he shifts temperature and value that feels simple at first, but becomes much more complex when you try to replicate it. I found myself slowing down, questioning each mix, and realizing how intentional every color choice really is.
