I’m seeing companies fall into the following three categories with respect to data:

1) consume it from wherever it was produced (CRM, ERP, etc). These are most companies.

2) they mainly produce their own data. These are tech first companies where software engineering is at the center.

3) data vendors where data is literally their product

Would you agree? What’s missing?
