Does generational wealth make us unfuckwithable? After all, there must be a reason we call it Fuck You Money. The ability to become so wealthy that not a single hour of work need ever be done again and not a single boss deferred to, is extremely compelling to most of us. Yet, as philosopher Sam Harris remarked about the silence of billionaires in the face of geopolitical madness: “What’s the point of having fuck you money if you never say ‘fuck you’?”1 In the end, material success does not shield us from mental captivity, anxiety, and quite plainly, human egregiousness.
