In my “new” garden (I just moved into the house), there’s an apricot tree that’s been quietly witherin’ away — apparently forgotten for years by the previous owners.

Today I hauled off a good pile of stones and worked the soil like I meant business.

That old apricot’s gettin’ a second shot at life. I’ll be plantin’ a young apricot alongside it, addin’ some lavender for good company, and givin’ the whole crew a proper helping of organic fertilizer.

Let’s just say the tree didn’t retire — it got reassigned. 🌳
