Well Reddit is never short of opinionated discussions…there is an entire megathread dedicated to Leaked Labs - the Lipstick Lesbians’ new venture. I have seen a lot of discourse on TikTok from cosmetic chemists on the formula. In general the discussion goes as such…’I should not be paying $34 to try a lab / defective product’. For one, the haters feed more marketing mentions so the few fuming creators are actually pushing the name further. To their credit The Lipstick Lesbians have responded to criticism with educational content. The thing is, although they are pitching these products as labs samples they aren’t, they just may be producing it in more limited runs to de-risk challenges. The big challenge is will people repurchase this if it is tweaked? (are those customers just lost)…and would a launch of a new ‘sample’ get just as much buzz…my guess is yes.
