For day two of my favourite photos series, here is my actual favourite shot this year for the prompt from Aminus3 Photography

It has been a good year, our first full year in our new home, we moved from Oxfordshire to Torbay, Devon back in the summer of 2024. I have probably shot more photos this year than at any time in my life, it certainly feels that way and my hard drive is feeling it, really must get round to that cull I promised it a while ago! It was this year that I finally admitted to myself that I don’t need huge amounts of megapixels to achieve great results, so I sold my Fujifilm X-T5, kept the trusty old X-T1 and bought myself an X100F, it’s not about gear right? 😆

Anyway here is my favourite photo. Ironically It was not shot in Devon but Keswick, by the shores of Derwentwater looking down towards Borrowdale. This was the one that convinced me that I really don’t need all those megapixels (was shot on my X-T1).it was an absolutely gorgeous bit of light that changed just about every few seconds. Hope you like it as much as I do.
