If you create in silence, i.e. not publicizing your every step and process and bit of output on social media, what does that mean? Does it change the product? Does it change you? Does it change your ability to make a living?

I’m seeing younger generations of writers and artists putting everything on social media, the process, the output, their idea of their output, their thoughts on how someone can benefit from what they are learning or learned—all for monetization.

This seems so incredibly strange. But people are lapping it up for views, ad revenue, and platform. Is this how creating is done today, all a performance and less a product?
