3/21 is special for many reasons. It’s no coincidence that World Down Syndrome Day is also the day I adopted my beloved Moosey. I will never forget his eyes which had no life in them when I adopted him after his life on the streets. To watch his eyes come alive may be one of the best things I’ve ever experienced. We miss him terribly, but it brings me joy to think of how much he got to know love and home, was able to valiantly protect our babies, and became my best friend. As the kids grow, we tell stories of him and his braveness, we remember how he slept under the babies’ bassinet. Thankful for this boy, Moose Tracks Ice Cream, my first love. ❤️
