Religious meanings aside, I’ve always had a soft spot for Easter. It’s a celebration of the new season, of nature waking up again—the tender green of new leaves, the buds bursting into bloom, and those first plans for garden lunches with friends, or a proper Easter Monday picnic (Pasquetta, as we call it, even though, let’s be honest, it almost always rains).
