I think I have changed my role here- Im no longer the neighbor that talks with you over the fence every day, but more like the cousin or high school friend that you don’t see that often, but can pick up wight where you left off when you do get together! The reason for this is honestly I just don’t have anything to say most days that will contribute to the conversation. I read and think, but it stops there lol. But today, am working on setting up to take my little bakery to the farmers market in a few months. I was searching for display items, and found the perfect thing to use for cookies— when I went to order it, it turns out it was not in fact a cute little rack, but it was the INSTRUCTIONS FOR A 3-D PRINTER! Make your own! Then when I decided to get serious about this bakery, I asked Perplexity AI to help me with a business plan… it took (him? her? it?) 10 minutes to make a plan, make a website, source items I needed…. it would have taken me a month! All this to say, times are changing. In everything, not just politics. We are in very troubled waters right now and it is scary. It seems impossible to keep up. But we are smart and resilient and we are standing on strong shoulders. We cannot forget that. We will make it through— and have a better world for our grandkids. I still believe in us.
