Day 42 of 100 small paintings

I used the last of my paint on the palette for this one, and then I will be venturing into open acrylic paints.

For those who don’t know, acrylic paint is very fast drying. Oil paint is very slow drying. All of the small paintings thus far have been in fast drying acrylic. Oil is primarily what I learned to paint on, so that was a challenge for myself to become more acquainted with acrylic paint.

As one might suspect, “slow” acrylics are made to dry a bit slower. 😂 So I will be spending some time with this hybrid material, to get to know its unique strengths and challenges.
