Smoke - I only wish I had photographs from the Comedy Club, because those guys were really blowing smoke. Or the smoke rising from the sugar cane fields in Louisiana after the harvest, burning the stubble in preparation for the winter. But all I can offer Aminus3 Photography for this week’s challenge is this: an unexpected sight out the window on the flight from Santiago to Punta Arenas to board a ship to Antarctica - seems there was some volcano activity down there near the tip of the Andes.

Yes, it’s not really smoke, rather it is a lot of steam and a hint of subterranean ash, looking like the stack of a really big boiler, coal-fired and in desperate need of a tune up.
