huge huge congrats to Michael McSweeney for this well deserved Substack Post feature. it’s frustratingly rare that the Post shares fiction from someone not already firmly established as a fiction writer in the public eye (I check every weekend just to see if they’ve tapped anyone from our community; it’s been a long, long while) so I’m very happy about this. and it’s a great story. it shows once again just how much fantastic work is being produced here every day and how much of it gets overlooked; i’m glad this one wasn’t.
