a st. patrick’s day darty was the very last public thing i attended in 2020 before everything shut down. i remember there being like 50ish people in attendance but it was only when someone said ‘what if we went to the bar’ that we were like well maybe that would be irresponsible right now. as if there weren’t people tongue swapping Bailey’s in the kitchen, coughing into the keg etc. and i still drank then so you already know i was up in the gig getting straight shnasty… god bless the Irish (me). now that i’ve overcome the generational alcoholism i can finally take pride in my culture by doing stuff like, uh, living in Boston and saying ‘i’d love to go to Ireland someday’ every couple of months.
