Exactly. Kind of always been my issue with this guy, who I had liked for a couple of decades, in apparently not knowing him at all beyond his crafted public image and produced caricature, until I dug into who he has been all this time, back in 2015.

I was very uncomfortable uncovering for myself who and what he actually is. Hearing initially that those who knew him best in NYC couldn't stand him outside of those chummying up to him for hope of profit or questionable "fun", as we better know now.

I never got so far as getting into his politics, as it was utterly unnecessary once you get to better know the man he actually is.

The fact that so many still don't have a clue or refuse to believe what is right in front of them is really kind of...bizarre at this point. IF you think about it.
