In 2026, we have to build the spaces we’ve been waiting for. For the artists, writers, and storytellers searching for somewhere to be heard, the outlet doesn’t have to be granted it can be created.

The lack of true R&B support will fade the same way youth and teen entertainment platforms quietly disappeared over time. When MTV’s TRL and BET’s 106 & Park were removed, it didn’t erase the culture it left a gap. A gap that’s been waiting for a community brave enough to fill it.

The demand is still here. The stories are still being written. The music is still alive. What’s missing is a home for it.
