My fifth grade teacher shared a post on Facebook about my new book, and then a bunch of my other elementary school teachers started commenting and congratulating me. It was a really sweet moment to see some of the people who helped shape me as a writer witnessing how far I’ve come, and I love that I get to stay connected with people long after we’ve finished crossing paths.
