is challenging us to post photos that represent what spring means to us. Spring means lots of things to me - but mostly it means birds and it’s the only time I get to see some of these birds in their beautiful breeding plumage because they aren’t wearing their party clothes when/if they come back through in the fall. It’s still early in migration here, but I chose three photos that definitely represent spring to me. Loon, a Franklin’s gull, and one of my very favorite birds, the American Avocet. (Haven’t seen avocets yet this year, but maybe if I post this they will show up!)
