What’s profane?

I’m in the midst of testing tools for measuring readability of my Substack and LinkedIn posts. One tool, TextCompare, has a section which flags certain categories of words for review. It’s not part of my study, but I’m curious, so I took a look. Here’s what TextCompare flagged as ‘profanity’ on my LinkedIn post sharing my Substack article about ageism: “cancer, dive, fight, illegal, poverty”.

Odd definition of ‘profane’, and even then, I’m not sure how ‘dive’ made the cut. 🤔

With that list, it’s kind of odd that it didn’t flag ageism and discrimination as profane, too. Is it ageist that ageism wasn’t flagged?
