That’s a very interesting approach, especially as a way to make the “ideal system” visible.

What I keep seeing though is that the hardest part isn’t building the clean version, it’s reconnecting it to the existing one.

That’s usually where the real constraints show up, not in the tech, but in how the work is actually structured.
