Thinking of the swifts of Abernethy Forest. As far as I’m aware they’re the last British colony of swifts that nests in tree holes, rather than houses. Right now the Cairngorms fire has reached the forest and threatens to take this year’s chicks, along with the trees they nest in. They’re just one of many species that live in the Caledonian forest, that may die in the Caledonian forest. This is climate change.
