For the past while, my daughter has insisted on praying before dinnertime and including this line: “Dear God, I pray for the rotten people.” At first I thought this was sweet, you know, love your enemies and all. When I asked her what “rotten people” means to her, she said, “You know, the people who are dead and rotting.” 🤔 I fail to understand the minds of children sometimes.

恰索夫亚尔是乌东前线最激烈的战区之一，每天都有很多人战死，我的许多好友也长眠于此。凌晨4：30分，此时乌克兰正迈入冬季，当天气温不到1度。 我们小队借着夜色，驱车赶路，抵达了一个小村落，右前方是一条笔直的道路，通往更远的峡谷。 路上空无一人，偶尔有一两辆军用车辆驶回我们的方向。

广大的平原让一切事物显得渺小。 五分钟后，我们穿越那座高耸的峡谷后，映入眼帘的景象，让我震撼不已。
