The other thing—and I will stop my lil rant after this—is this:
-I have been shouting from the rooftop for over a year about how important Substack is to PR for a book.
-I saw another newsletter on here that focuses on Big 5 publishing and poo-pooing podcasts for publicity. Nope. Podcasts are here to stay. Blogs still work. Reviews are on life support in legacy media. Choose your fighter.
-Not everyone will have newsletters clamoring for them. If Substack moves toward how legacy media works with celebs, it’s not going to be good. Trust me.
