Make money doing the work you believe in

The weirdest thing happened today. I was searching for images of Nordic runes for “wolf” (don’t ask why, long story). I found out that Old Norse word for “wolf” is “Ulfr”. The first original novel-length fantasy I wrote years ago (in my native Latvian) consisted of 3 parts. The third was called “Ulf, son of wolves”. About a lost heir raised by Wolflings. The thing is - back then I didn’t know “Ulfr” meant “wolf”. I chose the name because of its sound. It sounded like “wolf”. But it turns out the word actually meant “wolf”. What a beautiful, unintended connection. I never translated this book. I don’t think I ever will.
