The app for independent voices

Well, I didn’t bring the brick, the BASS of the Century, to Italy because I suspected my daughter had made off with my original hardcover edition, and lo and behold, there it was on her bookshelf. So! I’m happily continuing with my reading, picking up where I left off in Colorado. Yesterday I read “The Key,” by Isaac Bashevis Singer, 1970, from The New Yorker. And this morning, after finishing Susan Minot’s Rapture,(a novella I’d begun last night), I read “A City of Churches, by Donald Barthelme, 1973, from The New Yorker. Very short, weird, and funny. Loved it.
