It took me years to quiet the guilt of doing less "work" on the weekends so that I could be more present for my family.
I used to ruminate throughout the weekend even as I wasn't "working".
Finally, after 18 months, I was able to train my mind to refocus on my why (my family matters) and to let go of the fear.
The to-do list will always be there. My kids won't be.
