Pam Bondi is OUT as Attorney General.

President Trump fired Attorney General Pam Bondi on Thursday due to his frustration with her handling of the Epstein files. For now, she will be replaced by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, according to a source familiar with the matter. In recent days, Trump talked to allies about his desire to fire Bondi and spoke with her about it on Wednesday. He’s expressed frustration that she hasn't investigated and prosecuted enough of his political opponents.

CNN reports that Environmental Protection Agency administrator Lee Zeldin is up for consideration as Bondi’s replacement.

In a Truth Social Post on Thursday afternoon Trump said, “Pam Bondi is a Great American Patriot and a loyal friend, who faithfully served as my Attorney General over the past year. Pam did a tremendous job overseeing a massive crackdown in Crime across our Country, with Murders plummeting to their lowest level since 1900. We love Pam, and she will be transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector, to be announced at a date in the near future, and our Deputy Attorney General, and a very talented and respected Legal Mind, Todd Blanche, will step in to serve as Acting Attorney General. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
