The app for independent voices

We have so many questions facing us.

As a faithful Catholic, I use my phone 1% of my time in church, 1) to pull up daily readings at Mass on my phone because they are not in the books in the pew. Usually I have already read them but sometimes I want to read along. 2) Padre Pio’s Prayer after communion. And 3) my notes on my phone for sudden inspiration from the Holy Spirit, especially during homilies.

I wrote the outline for the book I am working on there in a sudden gust of inspiration. I also let my son with Down syndrome play a game as we are all praying after communion to get my prayers in if we do not have a toy for him.

I hear what you are saying they absolutely can become an intrusion especially for teens. I heard Sr Miriam tell a story how she had to correct a young person for texting on stage and they didn’t even realize it. But for intentional usage I do not think it is always bad. I bring a bound devotional to adoration, but am grateful to have another resource if I have nothing else.
