I used to do this all the time, too - in my blog and in my Substack, as well as in person for whatever reason/trigger, because people-pleasing and being scapegoated are taught to Filipinas very early on in our lives.

I’d like to think I’ve stopped, but I know I still slip up occasionally. But the new rule is: if I’m here/online, I’m here. If not, then I’m not. I’ll say sorry only when I truly am, and taking accountability for something I truly did. Otherwise, no. No more. 🤷🏽‍♀️
