1. The Bush administration requested the spending, not Obama.

2. Congress approved it — before Obama took office, by the way.

3. The money was spent to upgrade the aging infrastructure in the 200-year-old building, including the heating, cooling, electrical, fire-alarm equipment, and security systems.

4. They didn’t tear down 1/3 of the White House.

5. They didn’t lie about it to the American people.
