A new Quinnipiac poll continues to indicate a looming disaster for the Trump/MAGA/Republican world in midterms.

The single biggest item in the poll is Trump's approval rating down to a record low of 32%. There are even increasing signs of cracks in Republican support for Trump. In this latest poll 72% approve of Trump's performance while only 12% disapprove. However that is a notable shift from only a month ago where Trump enjoyed 85% approval and only 9% disapproval among Republicans.

67% of independents disapprove of Trump with only 22% approving, so independents now reject Trump 3 to 1. These are the swing voters, folks.

One potential driver of Trump's declining support among Republicans is the Iran war. While 74% of Republicans support the war, 19% oppose it. Overall, 60% of Americans oppose the war with independents against it 69 to 26 percent.

On individual issues, Trump is underwater on everyone, even his bell weather issues like immigration.

immigration issues: 40 percent approve, while 57 percent disapprove;

trade: 37 percent approve, while 58 percent disapprove;

the economy: 34 percent approve, while 62 percent disapprove;

foreign policy: 34 percent approve, while 62 percent disapprove;

the situation with Iran: 28 percent approve, while 66 percent disapprove.

59% of Americans say the economy is getting worse.

74% of voters say they blame Trump either or lot or some for high gas prices.

The poll also suggests a strong midterm voter turnout advantage for Democrats with 57% saying they are more motivated to vote than in past midterm elections, while only 39% of Republicans saying the same.
