When my son was in college, he survived a plane crash, walking away without a scratch. He was in a two-seater plane when the landing gear malfunctioned and they had to crash-land with only one wheel down, while trying to do that without flipping the plane. The pilot asked my son to pray as they were descending.
I asked my son later what he had prayed, and he told me he could only think of one thing to pray in that terrible moment: "God help us...God help us...God help us...God help us...". Over and over again.
So I have some experience with the power and effectiveness of simple, repetitive, desperate prayers. Haley does too, it turns out. This, like the rest of her work, is very much worth reading.
