Day 35 - Dollar a Day Update - $54 yesterday and probably $5 tonight.

I just finished setting up my Facebook page to launch Meta Ads. I’d appreciate a like to make it a bit more lively:

Today, I had an Upwork coaching call, it was perfect. First, helping someone is always a great feeling. And second, it gave me the boost and inspiration I needed to create creatives for Meta Ads. Coaching calls are perfect because you have people bringing their questions and talking about what they are stuck on. It’s ideal for copy!

I have some work tonight but hope to have a few creatives ready with their copy by tonight. And hopefully, launch the ads tomorrow night!

Remember when I was crapping my pants at the very beginning of the challenge. It’s completely gone. Sometimes, I almost forget I’m doing a challenge. Although I’m still struggling to prepare a few days in advance to launch a few things to secure sales. It’s hard to be proactive when there is so much going on. But even when nothing is going on, I often just want to relax.

I barely sent 14 DMs on LinkedIn, and I already feel demoralized by the lack of answers. 14 is barely any messages, and I probably need way way way more volume to get an answer. But I still need to go over that hump.

Also, I’m thinking a better move would probably be to make a funnel out of it with some free 5-day email course with the consultation or offer pitched throughout and create some content or ads to promote it. Although it’s probably a bit of setup work upfront but so is sending a bunch of DMs. Will marinate on that and still send DMs in the meantime.

One thing I’ve enjoyed is how quickly I can iterate on info products or items on the Facebook Marketplace. I feel that in roughly a day, I can get a quick idea of whether or not something is going to sell. I want to see how I can shorten the feedback cycle for B2B stuff. Not sure how but I’ll think about that because I don’t want to take weeks to refine an offer to see that it doesn’t work after that and having to go back to the drawing board.

Completely random to finish off this update, but when I got one person on Facebook Marketplace coming for an object and other people interested, I say something like that to have them as a backup: “Hi XXX, I have another person coming tonight but I’ll let you know if it falls through.”

The equivalent of “putting you on the waiting list.” I’ll probably start implementing some version of that with clients.

That’s it. See you tomorrow!
