I talk to strangers pretty much every day, it’s one of the things my Dad taught me.

I remember one time we were on a summer trip and we were a couple of states west of our home in Minnesota. We’re stopped at a light & a pedestrian is crossing the road in front of us. Dad leans out the window and says something to the fellow like “Sure is a nice day, I hope you’re having a good one.” The fellow nods, says something pleasant in return and finishes crossing the street. The light turns green and we drive off with the guy staring at the Minnesota plate on our car as we drive off. “Do you know that guy?” I ask Dad. “Never seen him before in my life,” Dad says, “But he’s going spend at least a day trying to figure out who he knows from Minnesota!”

Dad liked to make his own fun.

My goal since I moved to Superior is to try to get to know everyone in town. There are only about 27,000 people here & I’m making pretty good progress.

Everyone wants 'community' but no one talks to 'strangers' (i.e. the people in your literal community)

Say hi to the 80 y' old Portuguese lady who lives next to you. Ask if she needs anything. Walk up to NPCs on your street. Press *A*. Take their side-quests
