I usually say something like,
To be a disciple by definition is to become like your rabbi. And the Rabbi was a disciple-maker. So you’re not really a disciple of Jesus, until you are making a disciple.
Strong. Most people stop at “follow closely” and never get to “send them out.”
That last part is the whole thing.
If they’re not being released, it’s not discipleship. It’s just proximity.
Jesus didn’t build students. He built senders.
