“Where are the Democrats who are willing to say forthrightly ‘I think DEI programs are a terrible idea’?”

Any honest broker who lived through the 2024 election cycle must admit it’s not enough to simply not talk about the issues the electorate cares about because the activists in your party don’t want you to talk about out them. “Ignore the man behind that curtain” is not an effective strategy.

If you don’t talk about these issues explicitly, the other side will—and you will lose.

The extreme ideas on the left are very unpopular. Democrats running for high offices need to name the unpopular ideas and explain why they don’t support them.

I will deeply miss The Liberal Patriot and I hope someone else snaps up Ruy Teixeira to write for them because the Democrat party desperately needs to hear what he has to say.
