I’m a “Haley Republican” in NY. She’s delusional if she thought she was getting our votes because we were in love with her. She was getting them because she’s not Donald Trump.

She could’ve gone forward with honor and dignity and possibly earned our love and respect, but no one is surprised that she caved.

She’s without a party now in a smaller place than Liz Cheney. I hope she doesn’t expect MAGALand to welcome her back. They don’t even trust Stefanik and Graham.

I cannot let go of the idea that this is simply the first step in a series of steps where she is named VP pick. The MAGA faithful will embrace whoever he names, and she will allow "normies" to pull the R lever without a problem. Trump knows that he must win--it's existential, and he will do whatever it takes to get there.

Maybe. I just can't see him giving her that kind of prize after she sort-of kind-of stood up against him for those 37 hours or whatever. He's too damn vindictive. He might pretend he's considering her just to see how much farther she will debase herself (hint: there is no limit) and how much he can publicly humiliate her for his amusement. And while he knows he must win to keep ensure all the other cases (except GA) against him are dropped, I think his smallness and pettiness will win in the end.

I dunno... Pence has no career after being a VP. Trump can make whomever is in that role handle every toxic thing he doesn't want to touch. He could make being a VP hell. The last one was almost hung, I can only imagine what nightmare awaits the next.

What awaits the next Trump VP? Perhaps "Ascension to POTUS by Holy Moly Hamburger"? Or perhaps replacement of Trump before the election due to trial results?
