Good luck to Zachary Hart tonight at the Olivier Awards. He’s been nominated twice in the Best Supporting Actor category for his extraordinary work in Stereophonic and The Seagull. I discovered him three years ago in Enemy of the People and he’s become one of my favourite actors in London.

Here we are - that’s him on my left - at St. George on St Martin's Lane where I write most days when I am in London except for Monday when it is closed. This is from three years ago when he and his casemate Shubham Saraf were appearing next door at the Duke of York Theatre in the Ibsen play. They were the beating wondrous heart of that production directed by Thomas Ostermeier who also directed the production of The Seagull.
