Made almond butter today for the first time!

It’s expensive, it’s a little time consuming, and it’s totally delicious 🤤

Here is what I did:

3 cups raw almonds

½ - ¾ tsp salt to taste

Drizzle of maple syrup (optional)

Roast almonds for around 17 minutes at 180C (350F), turning half way through. While still warm, add to the food processor and process until it looks like almond meal.

Add the salt and maple syrup.

Continue to process until runny and oily. Mine took about 10 minutes on high.

Keep in a sealed jar. Shelf stable for a month 👍
