Sapphra Thanks for recommending Minx! We’re several episodes into the first season. What a smart, sexy show. (Although I read season 2 disappoints.)

We debated how many prosthetics and murkins were used in filming.

And then we got into the political arc of Joyce’s character - that in her stubborn striving for equality she becomes that which she hates. Or that the big whale advertising companies conceal their evil whereas Pleasure Garden is all in-your-face and transparent. Oh, the show gives so much to consider - the taboo of sex toys, empowerment vs equality, and what does feminist porn look like?

My favorite line from the series so far delivered something along the line of, “There’s power in the ability to look.”

I feel an exploratory essay building in my brain.
