When I talk about matriarchy, some people assume it’s a fantasy – “utopian, feminist claptrap,” as one commenter recently put it – but matriarchy is a social framework that we can describe, measure, and test. Cross-disciplinary science (some of which I shared in my recent article) has already shown us that these are the conditions under which humans thrive and violence declines.

Matriarchy is simply the name that describes the environmental conditions that are healthy for ALL humans.
