Oooooo BURN! Good to see a little bit more frankness from Gallagher. I wonder how much of an effect the war in Ukraine has shifted the utility of that separation of the church as diplomat and church as prophetic witness? Seems like quite a few (especially European) leaders in that department have had a good kick in the pants about the limits of playing realpolitik at the expense of the Church’s embattled credibility as a witness to the gospel.
