my mental health was at an all time LOW when i was on an SSRI. my doctors couldn’t figure out why and wanted to keep upping my medication to reduce my symptoms. turns out, i wasn’t low in serotonin, i was low in dopamine. i was copper toxic. no SSRI would have made me feel better and if i didn’t get off i can only imagine the horrid outcome it would have had on me.

i see this in many of my clients: they’re prescribed an SSRI for symptoms of anxiety and depression but when we get their test results back, serotonin might not be the actual problem. methylation, copper toxicity, closed meridians, and gut/liver/gallbladder function are to blame
