I live in the area of Perth, Western Australia, and so we are ever so slowly heading into autumn and winter. This frangipani tree at our new house was completely bare when we moved in winter, then last spring it began to shoot out leaves and then it burst forth into flowers. We had a long hot summer and the flowers have been falling off like the rain we aren't getting just yet. But, it's finally cooling down, and we've been spending more time outside in the backyard now that it's more bearable. These are the last of the frangipani flowers and although they fit the spring theme because they're flowers, I'm actually documenting this to remember the change in season to autumn and winter. I must add that I just absolutely love the contrast between the beautiful open flowers and the twirled up, closed flowers. My girls were fascinated by that too. And I'm thankful that the golden light pouring in is now not so harsh but warm and welcome.
