For the first time my boy could play MINECRAFT during the Leipzig Book Fair.
While talking with my hubby about the indie publisher behind th game, Markus Persson from Sweden, that later sold it to Microsoft and then started the marketing engine, here's what I think indie publishers can learn:
Start small. You do not need the book to be perfect. You need it finished.
Keep it simple. A focused, clear idea beats a complex one.
Give people space. Let readers imagine and feel part of your world.
Do not just create one book. Build a world people want to return to.
Grow with your audience. Listen. Improve. Keep going while practicing in public
You can start as a solo and still build something BIG
