Substack lingo:
Chat is the overall subscriber conversation space for a Substack publication.
A Chat thread is one individual conversation or post inside Chat.
For me:
Chat is the whole venue or conference hall, and
each chat thread is a separate talk, session, or discussion happening inside it.
Many are missing out on this.
