This is the promise among revolutionaries and conspiracy theorists alike, that mass exposure to enough liminality will be enough to tip us into a new, better, reality. So, as extraordinary as these events are, why does it feel like nothing about our reality will change as a result of them? Are we already living in a liminal reality? A state of exception?
